Maker Profile · Project 02
Beach Mitra
A full-scale autonomous beach-cleaning vehicle taking a school concept toward a real, deployable machine.
The idea
Beach Mitra builds directly on an MYP Design prototype. The goal is eventual deployment on Mumbai beaches, in coordination with NGO Beach Warriors.
The commitment
The project involves regular Saturday workshop sessions and roughly 30 additional build days across 2025–26. The sustained effort reflects the reality of building beyond a classroom prototype.
Learning
The project has taught me end-to-end engineering, iteration, debugging and persistence — and how much longer real builds can take than planned.
