A five-day leadership programme in Mumbai that combined self-reflection with practical work on communication, collaboration, problem-mapping and social change.

The programme introduced leadership styles and servant leadership, then moved into teamwork, design thinking, negotiation, conflict resolution, presentations and project planning. The brochure describes students working in teams to understand a global issue and develop a social-change project.
My starting point
I wanted to understand leadership beyond the conventional business setting—particularly how it could be applied to social, climate and cultural issues, and how concern about a problem can become action.
Project Heal
My leadership-programme work centred on Project Heal: a social-impact concept focused on hygiene awareness in urban communities, using collaboration between corporates and students and an incentive-based approach. The key question for me was how to make participation in a social initiative easier to sustain.
